Rhoda attended Chantal's St. Jane School in Bethesda, Maryland, and graduated from Holy Cross Academy, a Catholic school for girls in Maryland.

Hilary Rhoda married former Canadian professional ice hockey player Sean Aver on October 10, 2015, at the Parrish Museum of Art in New York.

Although Rhoda has not yet been cast in a feature film, she was cast as herself in a television documentary "Sports Illustrated: Swimsuit 2009" in 2009.
